Help & Advice

The Welfare and Advice Centre has built up a long-standing reputation for the provision of generalist and specialist advice work at the Fir Vale centre. It is a crucial service that is in high demand.

The advice worker, Nageeb Kheili offers members of the Arabic speaking community a free and confidential advice service. The service which was previously managed by ourselves is now provided directly through Sheffield Citizens Advice and Law Centre. This is a new city-wide Citizens Advice Bureau, formed by a merger of the separate advice centres across Sheffield.

The service we previously provided has not changed as we continue to provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities.

Advice Centre Opening Times:

Drop-in sessions Tuesday 9.30am to 1.00pm

Appointments for more involved casework are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays and must be made by the advice worker

We also offer a specialist advice service offering advice and guidance relating to Visas and passports at our outreach centre in Attercliffe.  Said Ali is an experienced volunteer who has links with the Yemen Embassy in the UK and Yemen. To find out further information and opening times please contact Said Ali on 0114 2618620.
